As the title suggests, recently discovered I'm addicted to Anime and would like some suggestions. Currently watching on Crunchyroll, if there's a better site let me know.

Here's whats in my que so you get an idea on what I like so far:

    The Ancient Magus Bride
Hitori no Shita (love this one)
    RWBY
Attack on Titan (duh, holy crap is this good)
    Konosuba (probably my favorite lol)
Fate: Apocryphya (about to start other Fate seasons)
    Sword Art Online (loved it)
    One Punch

If you liked Sword Art Online, you might like "Log Horizon" as well since it has a similar plot idea.

There's some good anime on Prime and Netflix if you have those services as well. Fate Apocrypha I liked a good bit, but I would say Unlimited Blade Works and the prequel season were much better.

Made in Abyss was great but has some huge feels on it.

Darker Than Black is probably one of my favorites (season 1 mostly).

Cowboy Bepop and Samurai Champloo are two amazing ones as well.

If you've already watched DBZ, I suggest Super (this will take up a good bit of time but the current arc is about to finish and then it will be going on hiatus).

Recovery of a MMO Junkie is absolutely adorable.

I also recommend Log Horizon if you enjoyed SAO, I personally prefer it a bit more. Same with dot.hack.

It also helps to know what kind of genre you prefer, so I tried listing shows from different ones.

One last note, check out Devilman Crybaby on Netflix. It's stupid, it's amazing, and I loved it to death...

I'm watching Stein's Gate right now and can highly recommend it

Would also recommend Darling in the Franxx, though it's still in season 1 so you can't just binge it like some other shows

Agree with this as well, Steins Gate was pretty great. Very funny first half, lots of feels in the second. Darling in the Franxx is pretty great as well, and I've never been a big mecha fan with only a few exceptions.

I also forgot to mention Mob Psycho 100, made the same folks as One Punch Man. Same sort of humor so should be pretty enjoyable if you liked OPM.

If you haven't, I would recommend full metal alchemist brotherhood and death note. Both are top notch.

My BF was recently watching Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, and Children of the Whales. From the bits I saw of both, they looked good.

He is also looking for recommendations, so I shall show him those listed here as well.

Also, he started watching some Beserk movie series, and I walked in to some weird cult hentai stuff...

Just noticed I have a guest pass on Crunchyroll if anyone wants to check it out, I watch most of my anime there.

Just need an email address to send it to, I'll have another pass in one day I think so if more then one I'll send to the first two. Guest pass just means no commercials and get the new stuff faster.

The Red Turtle is probably the most depressing but also equally good anime movie I've seen..interesting art style. Probably the only movie I've googled to see what the ending meant (Turns out thats part of the movie, what you believe the ending to be) that's how shook I was.

I just watched Jin-Roh: Wolf Brigade yesterday and that was very good as well.

Love Anime ever since I was able to watch Star Blazers on early morning TV growing up. Now with streaming live Simulcasts its much easier to watch stuff I like.

My Current Season (Spring 201:cool: Favorites are: My Hero Academia Season 3, Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, Black Clover, MEGALOBOX, Yowamushi Pedal Glory Line, PERSONA5 the Animation, and Tokyo Ghoul:re.
(I loved Stein's Gate but my wife asked me to hold off on watching the sequel so I can't comment on that one yet, the followup movie was just ok not great)
Honorable Mentions: (that started off strong but I lost interest in) HINAMATSURI (great use of humorous situations), DARLING in the FRANXX, Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory (Great Mech Combat first few episodes), Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii (Funny Nerd Relationships)

    I'm a huge anime nerd..but @Katmondi I must ask...because my nerd-ism for FATE Is Huge...

Fate ; Apoc is a parallel world one that doesn't go with any other series that's been out. It's probably one of the better recent stand alones that came out recently.

HOWEVER.... if you are going to watch the others I would highly recommend that you watch FATE : ZERO & Fate: Stay Night - Unlimited Bladeworks . The newer versions. The old versions are GOOD, but people tend to bash on them. (I...enjoyed them all with the different..paths and endings..but I love Fate). It also gives you a better head into the world. The most recent one that came out Encore (I'd not watch...as much as I love Nero...I'm having a hard time with it.)

    or...

But far as anime goes:: Classics & new ones
    Visions of Escaflowne
    Cowboy Bebob
    Outlaw Star
Rurouni Kenshin (Original OVAs and TV series (Skipping the last arc) )
    Peacemaker
    Full metal alchemist : brotherhood
    Trinity Blood
    Blood & Blood +
Vampire Hunter D (Both the 1985 movie and 2002 Bloodlust BIG FAN/nerd here.. light novels are great! read them)
    Ghost in the Shell
Devilman (Crybaby is really good...but ugh)
    Overlord
    Log Horizen
    Darling in the Franxx
    Violet Evergarden (Highly recommend)
    Trigun
    Little Witch Academia
    Senki Zesshou Symphogear
Macross Frontier / Delta (actually anything Macross...is so good)
    Kamisama Hajimemashita
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a Dungeon (Light noval is very good)
    Code Geass
    Guilty Crown
    No game No Life
    Soul Eater
    Noragami
    Berserk (original)
    Legend of Basara
    Hellsing
    Food Wars
    GATE

And I can probably keep going... lol I have gone from watching a lot to being really selective ..there are some real hidden Gems in the mass of 'over popular ones'

Here's a few of my favorites that haven't been mentioned yet:
    Baccano!
    AnoHana
    Welcome to the NHK
    Psycho-Pass
    Kekkai Sensen
    Rainbow

Would also add my +1 to:
Hunter x Hunter (2011), Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, No Game No Life, Code Geass, Re:Zero, Death Note, My Hero Academia, Darker Than Black

Based on what you've enjoyed you'll definitely like AnoHana, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, My Hero Academia, and Re:Zero - those might be good ones to start with.

Thanks for all the recommendations, I recently found out that this eye infection I've been battling for a couple months is actually a Staph infection on my Cornea that has spread to both eyes. My eyesight has suffered and I can't look at large screens (too bright) so I've been just watching anime and reading manga on an ipad. No gaming for a while until I can get this under control.

Not sure if I mentioned this but recently watched Toradora, really great. Still have PTSD from watching "Your Lie in April" but would still call it a must see for anyone, even if you're not an anime fan.

Black Clover - Series Started Annoying but has really turned enjoyable
How Not to Summon a Demon Lord - Guy with Poor Social Skills gets Summoned from Real Work / MMO into Game Work on his Overpowered Character, Brainless Humor Fun
    Island - Creative and Mysterious

Your Lie in April is one of the most feelsy. Violet Evergarden is on the same level of feels and beautiful art. Totally wrecked me.

Never finished Your Lie for some reason but I enjoyed it a lot.

Now Violet Evergarden, oh damn. That was an emotional rollercoaster. The animation and art was absolutely spectacular too.

I'm going to recommend some off the wall stuff as most of the classics have already been mentioned.

There are 2 on Netflix currently that I would recommend, Gantz 0 and Blame. Both are visually impressive (especially Blame) and surprisingly entertaining.

For the Sunday afternoon, chilling, non-action anime I would suggest Bokowa Tomodachi ga sukunai (The neighboors club). Hands down one of the funniest Anime i have ever seen. There's no action and is only people with no friends making a club but the story is rich and heart felt and if you make it to the end of the first season you will never see mecha anime the same way again.

For the bizzare , Panty Scissors, once again no action or explosions just a very compelling and heart felt story. Also it's very very strange but I couldn't stop watching..

For the echii in you, Sekerai, super hero fights, big boobs, and a harem. What else could you ask for. But seriously great anime and Kaze Hanna is my waifu.

As for old school El Hazard. Just an insanely funny and fun anime with super hero and fantasy elements.

I watched both on Netflix and liked them, I'll check out the others.

Currently on an Isekai fix so binging as much as I can lol. Reading like 20 different manga's on Mangadex at the moment. Loving Overlord at the moment, and the opening song is awesome.

    I loved Gantz: O!

Blame! was also good but I think I would have preferred it as a series. The setting seems like it has a lot to offer, and the stand-alone anime barely scratched the surface. Never read the manga.

Are you all caught up on My Hero Academia? It may be my favorite of all time.

I'll give an old-school suggestion: Ninja Scroll, from 1993. The anime film that got me started on anime.

Sigh. Looks like Season 3 of My Hero Academia has finished. Overhaul arc will be the Story for Season 4, probably to start around April of 2019. Fantastic Series.

yeah can't agree more, seriously want to read the manga, but at the same time I am enjoying just watching the anime not knowing what's going to happen.
