They had no choice ... amongst the biggest disappointments of an MMO ever

I loved wildstar. The dungeons were a huge adrenaline rush for me. The problem I had with the game was the fact they opened up too many servers in beginning and then the playerbase was way too thin towards the end of the game. Towns felt like ghost towns.

It was fun. Agreed about the servers.

Good to hear. Now do F2P correctly. I enjoyed when I played, but was solo..that sucked.

I loved it, but the endgame progression was impossible without a raiding guild.

Tried it during beta and wasn't a huge fan. Depending on my level of involvement/addiction with other games at the time F2P hits, I might be willing to give it another look if a Tenacious contingent is heading that way.

I had fun with it. But i had also got into the AA open beta that was open forever and a day. So i didn't really get to play much. They had some great ideas.

I loved Wildstar! Especially housing and such :D But there was a big curve for endgame :( I'll probably pick it back up if/when it goes free to play :) Now i don't get why they are doing a beta for FTP?

Basicially they need to make servers sure they can handle an influx of players. I booted it up the other day just to screw around but I forgot how god awful the game runs on my system. Need a new graphics card. Soooon.

It was fun but too hardcore for my lifestyle and then the player base basically disappeared. The game itself was fun and loved the dungeons.

The housing was wonderful! They had merged all of the servers into one pvp server and one pve server before I left WS. I've been logging since it went F2P last week, basically just goofing off with my house. It was hard to get in at first, but they've made some temporary servers. WS was honestly my least favorite game ever, except for the housing/architecture.
